Lignell Awards:  Outstanding Teacher Recognition Program

     For some years now the Florida West Coast Section (FWCS) has participated in the Lignell Award Outstanding Teacher Recognition Program to recognize and honor outstanding contributions by teachers to pre-college education in Mathematics and Science in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco Counties.

     This program is open to all individuals teaching classes in Mathematics or Science in the public schools during the current school year. We are currently seeking nominations for this year’s awards that will be presented at the Tampa Bay Engineering Week Banquet.

     If there is a teacher at your school who you think should be considered for this important award please download the nomination form and return it to the address below no later than December 18^th, 2009. If you prefer you can e-mail the completed form to me.
